The Republican Council of the PRG "Belaya Rus" will discuss the organization's participation in the 2012 parliamentary elections

The results of the organization's work over the past two years will be summarized at the meeting of the republican council of the public association "Belaya Rus" on March 12, and a long-term plan for 2011-2012 will be approved. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the deputy chairman of the public association, Sergey Pigarev. A total of three main issues have been submitted for the council's discussion, Sergey Pigarev explained. In addition to summarizing the implementation of the organization's two-year work plan, participants will analyze the experience and results of the primary organizations' participation in the election campaign for local council deputies and the presidential election campaign. Another important issue will be the approval of the public organization's work plan for 2011-2012, including the discussion of the participation of "Belaya Rus" organizational structures in the 2012 election campaign for deputies of the National Assembly of Belarus. The council meeting will be attended by heads of the organization's regional structures, chairpersons of all production-based organizations, which constitute the most numerous organizational structures of "Belaya Rus" today. Chairpersons of Minsk district organizations of "Belaya Rus" have also been invited to the meeting, and they will present their districts and share their work experience. Such representation will allow for the development of a real long-term work program for the organization, taking into account local initiatives, through lively discussion, and will allow for the discussion of all new forms and methods of work that often originate in the regions, noted Sergey Pigarev. Today, the ranks of the public association "Belaya Rus" number more than 110,000 members. While in 2009 the organization's membership grew by 9,000 people, in 2010 its ranks were joined by over 22,000 citizens. "The more real work the organization does, the more "Belaya Rus" participates in campaigns and election campaigns, the more people learn about us and the more often they turn to us - first out of interest, and then consciously join our ranks," Sergey Pigarev is confident. -0-
