The Cherry Queen's Residence opened in Glubokoye
The Cherry Queen herself met guests at the entrance. The fairy-tale residence is unusual, located on the embankment of the Kagalnoye city lake. It resembles a cherry blossom in shape with five petal-halls, each of which is special. For example, the beauty hall displays creative works by masters of the lake region, and the inspiration hall features a bright cherry vernissage with advertising products. A cherry "malyavanka" (a type of folk painting) will also be stored here, which the participants of the grand opening of the residence painted together in a few minutes.
The residence contains many photographs telling about the history of the festival, as well as gifts and souvenirs that foreign guests have presented to the cherry capital over the years. One of the rooms is dedicated to traditional crafts carefully preserved in the Glubokoye region.
The last hall is the most delicious. Visiting it, you can taste the sour Glubokoye cherry and drink a mug of tea with cherry jam.
At one time, the famous breeder Boleслав Lapyry lived and worked in the Glubokoye region, who developed the variety of tasty, juicy, and frost-resistant Glubokoye cherry. In sign of great respect, the residents of Glubokoye installed his bust on the territory of the residence.
In the midst of the celebration, honored guests from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, France, Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, together with the chairman of the district executive committee Oleg Morhat, planted 6 cherry trees in honor of the sixth "Cherry Festival".
By the way, unusual cherry trees are also a decoration of the fairy-tale residence. On their berries, there is symbolism of cities with which the residents of Glubokoye maintain friendly relations, as well as flags of the countries participating in the international festival.
