The effectiveness of tax audits in the Vitebsk region in January-May was 97.4%

In the Vitebsk region, the effectiveness of tax audits conducted in January-May of the current year amounted to 97.4%, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. Based on the results of almost 6,000 inspections conducted by the region's inspectorates, an additional Br10.5 billion in taxes, penalties, and administrative fines was received into the budget, and Br1.7 billion worth of goods and materials and illegally obtained income was confiscated to the state. In addition, inspections of entities engaged in export operations and the sale of products at a rate of 10% prevented an unjustified refund of value added tax in the amount of Br5 billion. Since the beginning of the year, tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region have conducted more than 1.4 thousand unscheduled thematic operational inspections of business entities and individuals, during which violations of the law were revealed. Based on the results of these inspections, Br52 million in taxes were additionally charged, goods and materials were seized, and income from illegal activities in the amount of Br7.4 billion was identified. More than 580 cases of violation of the established procedure for accepting money and the procedure for using cash registers when selling goods (works, services) for cash were revealed, and fines totaling Br700 million were imposed on the violators. During inspections of the procedure for acquiring, transporting, storing, and selling goods, 52 violations were identified. Based on the results of such inspections, goods worth more than Br2 billion were seized, income from illegal activities was identified in the amount of more than Br2 billion, and administrative fines totaling Br100 million were imposed on the violators. -0-
