A number of socio-economic facilities in the Vitebsk region will open on November 7
For the older generation, the Day of the October Revolution remains one of the most important holidays. Memory carefully preserves the time of demonstrations and reports on the early fulfillment of five-year plans. Today, one can have different attitudes towards the grand celebrations, but personally, I recall them with nostalgia. To the sounds of solemn songs, we enjoyed socializing, smiled at each other, and then gathered around the table in a close circle of family and friends. It didn't matter that there were no exotic wines and delicacies on the table; instead, there was warmth and ease in conversation, and we were happy to receive a call from a neighbor.
Historians have not yet said everything about the role of the October Revolution in the development of human civilization. But I am sure that without October 1917, there would be no sovereign Belarus. Therefore, opening new socio-economic facilities on this day and immortalizing the memory of significant events and the people involved in them has already become a good tradition in the Vitebsk region.
In 2006, with the participation of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the administrative and surgical building of the Vitebsk City Emergency Hospital was opened after major reconstruction. The commissioning of the therapeutic building of this healthcare institution will take place on
November 7. It houses the neurology department with intensive care units, as well as the therapy, otorhinolaryngology, and resuscitation departments. The physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise rooms, functional, X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics, hyperbaric oxygenation rooms, and classrooms for the departments of the Vitebsk State Medical University are equipped with the latest equipment. In parallel with the reconstruction, work was carried out to improve the hospital grounds, repair the asphalt pavement, the facade of the utility building, the pharmacy, and the central supply department.
A branch of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Rossony District has opened its doors in the agro-town of Klyastitsy. Dozens of people in need of help and support will find a new island of hope for themselves. In Verkhnedvinsk, on this day, a hairdresser's salon with a manicure room will receive its first visitors, which means that the residents of the district center will become even more beautiful. And they will walk to the new facility of the household services sector on K. Marx Street, which was repaired and improved for the holiday. After major repairs in Ushachi, the solemn opening of the district court building will take place.
Modernization of production is continuously underway in the region, new enterprises are opening, and consequently, new jobs are being created. In Chashniki, at the branch of "Paper Mill "Red Star" of OJSC "Svetlogorsk Pulp and Cardboard Mill" , the solemn opening of a new paper machine workshop will take place. In Orsha, these days, CJSC "Linpac Packaging EAST" will begin the production of packaging material.
On the shore of Lake Kichino, located in a picturesque corner of Senno District, the construction of a hunter's lodge has been actively carried out. Now, all conditions have been created there for supporters of an active lifestyle, and the hosts are ready to receive entire families.
Memory is needed by the living. This truth is as old as the world. On the eve of the holiday in Braslav, a memorial sign was opened for the 75th anniversary of the founding of the district internal affairs department. In the agro-town of Oktyabrskaya, Vitebsk region, as part of the celebrations dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the settlement, on November 7, a solemn opening of a memorial sign in honor of internationalist soldiers will take place. In Tolochin, an airborne combat vehicle will go on permanent "duty" to remind from its pedestal of the military exploits of the district's residents.
