The robotic MTC in Churilovo, Orsha district, will begin to be equipped in June

Роботизированный МТК в Чурилово Оршанского района начнут комплектовать в июне
The country's only robotic dairy farm (RDF) in Churylovo, Orsha district, will begin to be equipped in June. This was announced by the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Igor Isachenko, at a field meeting of the regional executive committee.

Representatives of the government, ministries, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and district heads visited the republic's only robotic complex for 2,000 head of cattle in the village of Churylovo during a field meeting of the regional executive committee, where intermediate results of the Orsha district development program were discussed. The dairy farm is being built with funds from the district budget: the district executive committee issued bonds that were purchased by the Development Bank. The estimated cost of the project is over Br101 million, with over Br66 million already spent. "The complex is practically completely built, 32 robots have been installed here, and enterprise specialists are undergoing training to work with the new equipment. Cows will start being brought here in June," said Igor Isachenko.

The uniqueness of the new RDF lies in the fact that the feeding, microclimate control, milking, manure removal, and other processes are controlled by a robotic system. The milking machine ensures 100% product disinfection and prevents cross-contamination. The robot connects to the udder, treats the teats with a special solution both before and after milking, analyzes the milk composition, and directs colostrum and milk of different qualities into separate containers.

The cows are provided with the most comfortable conditions, including mats to lie on during rest, the softness of which is close to a meadow field. Additionally, self-heating water bowls are installed for the cows. The automated farm is based on a cable system that is resistant to low temperatures and operates without interruption in winter. Only two operators are sufficient to service the robotic farm – one for technological equipment and one for milking equipment. They set the parameters, and the automated system does everything itself.

Speaking about the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Orsha district, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev noted a positive trend in the creation of modern agricultural complexes. Nevertheless, some enterprises have not fulfilled the assigned indicators for weight gain and milk yield increase. Many cite insufficient funding. "Now, enterprise managers need to think independently about how and where to find funds for development. Those who want to keep up with the times find a way to at least reduce costs, and then use the resulting profit for modernization," the head of the region noted.

As an example for farms in the district and the region, he cited another enterprise - the branch of OJSC "Orsha Grain Processing Plant" SGK "Zadneprovsky". The farm is carrying out repairs at the "Dnepr" farm - a former pig complex that has been repurposed for raising cattle. The complex is designed for 4.5 thousand heads. Here, 20 premises made of prefabricated structures were built using the хозяйственный способ (in-house construction). This method significantly reduces construction costs, which means it lowers the cost of production and increases sales profit.
