The parental contribution for vouchers to health resorts and children's camps in Belarus is small
June 3, Minsk /Corr. BELTA/. In Belarus, the parental supplement for vouchers to health resorts for children is small. This was announced today during an online conference on the Belteлерадиокомпания website by Tamara Bondarenko, Deputy Director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population.
The average cost of a voucher to a health resort with round-the-clock stay for 21 days is Br488.5 thousand. The subsidy from the state social insurance funds for one voucher to such resorts is set at Br255 thousand (52.2% of the voucher cost). "Enterprises where parents work, as well as trade unions, can cover part of the payment for vouchers. Usually, the parental supplement is at least 10% of the voucher cost (for example, last year parents paid 12%)," said Tamara Bondarenko. "Orphans, children with disabilities, children from single-parent and large families are issued vouchers free of charge. The difference is paid from local budgets."
The average cost of a voucher to a day camp is Br125.3 thousand (the subsidy is Br110 thousand - 98%). Parents have to pay about Br15 thousand for a voucher to a day camp. A voucher to a specialized camp with a stay of at least 9 days costs an average of Br139.7 thousand (a subsidy of Br115 thousand covers 82.3% of its cost).
Thus, the amount of the parental supplement for a voucher is small, emphasized the Deputy Director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population. For example, in the Vitebsk and Gomel regions, the subsidy fully covers the cost of a voucher to a day camp - parents do not have to pay extra at all. -0-
