Luxurious lilies and begonias will adorn Vitebsk this spring

April 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Luxurious lilies and begonias will adorn Vitebsk this spring, the deputy director of DUSKP "Vitebsk Zelenstroy" Galina Psyanina told a BELTA correspondent. The city's floral decorations and rock gardens this year will consist of lilies, begonias, dahlias, salvias, and cinerarias. The bright colors of the flowers will favorably set off numerous coniferous trees and shrubs, thus creating whimsical compositions. "Their shape and color scheme are being thought out more carefully than ever before, as this year the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" celebrates its 20th anniversary," the interlocutor noted. In total, the landscapers of the regional center plan to plant about 1.5 million flowers, 1.6 thousand trees, and 4-5 thousand shrubs. The planting area will occupy more than 350 hectares. Mass planting of trees and sowing of lawns will begin next week, and for now, the employees of Zelenstroy are busy cleaning up the territory. The city will try on its floral outfit at the end of April - beginning of May. -0-
