Russian truck narrowly escaped fire in Postavy district

A Russian truck narrowly escaped a fire in the Postavy district, the press service of the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent. In the afternoon of June 28, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report from the driver about a fire in the trailer of a truck on the shoulder of the R-45 highway near the village of Solovikha, Postavy district. By the time firefighters arrived, cardboard packaging was burning inside the Scania truck. The fire was extinguished in 20 minutes. As a result of the fire, 20 cubic meters of packaging and 3 square meters of protective tarpaulin were damaged. There were no casualties. The vehicle belongs to a sole proprietor from Kaliningrad. The cause of the fire is being investigated. This is the second vehicle fire in the region in the past 24 hours.-0-
