Russian and Belarusian aerobatic masters will take part in a helicopter sport tournament in Vitebsk

May 21, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Russian and Belarusian aerobatic masters will take part in club helicopter sport competitions on May 23-24, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the educational and sports institution "Vitebsk Aeroclub named after A. Gorovets" of DOSAAF, on the basis of which the tournament will be held. A total of 10 crews will take to the skies over Vitebsk, including six Russian crews, who arrived to participate in the competition on R-44 Robinson helicopters. For the first time at the competition, a Vitebsk family crew will perform - international master of sports Anatoly Dyatlov will compete for awards paired with his son Sergey. The women's team of the Vitebsk Aeroclub, consisting of international masters of sports Irina Gorelysheva and Tamara Stelmakh, will join the competition with the men's crews. According to the tournament regulations, each crew must perform 3 exercises - slalom, cargo delivery, and navigation. Immediately after the grand opening, the pilots will demonstrate their skills in slalom, one of the most spectacular types of competition. The essence of it is to guide the cargo on a 11 m long sling through 12 gates set on the ground, and then place it in the center of a 1 sq.m table. The winners will be determined by the number of points awarded by the judging panel to the crews for completing all exercises. The competition will be one of the stages of helicopter pilots' preparation for the CIS championship, which is planned to be held at the end of July at the Vitebsk Aeroclub. -0-
