A Russian investor has purchased a palace built for a French actress in the Postavy district

November 23, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A Russian investor has purchased a noble estate in the Postavy district, which was built for a French actress. The architectural monument of the 19th century, the Bishevskikh estate in the village of Lyntupy, was sold at auction, the culture department of the Postavy District Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The estate and park complex includes: the manor house, outbuildings, a rubble bridge, a park, a chapel, and three ponds. The Moscow company "Russkaya Traditsiya" created a limited liability company to implement the project. Within three years, it is planned to create a cultural and recreational complex here. At the same time, the investor signed security obligations and thus undertook to preserve this monument, which is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values. According to legend, nobleman Jozef Bishevsky built the mansion for his beloved, a French actress. Whether she visited the mansion is unknown, but the fact that no two rooms in the palace were alike, and the decor was striking in its richness, has been preserved in legends to this day. The cellars of this palace are shrouded in mystery; according to rumors, untold treasures of the Bishevskikhs are still located there. According to experts, it is impossible to preserve this fascinating monument for future generations without investor involvement. An attempt at its restoration was made in 1991, but due to lack of funds, the work was stopped. The monument gradually deteriorated, and excursions were not even conducted there. Now, this object will be included in the cultural space, experts are confident. In addition, the investor intends to create jobs here. Currently, 8 more estates and palace and park ensembles in the Verkhnedvinsk, Beshenkovichi, and Braslav districts are awaiting their investors. -0-
