Russian "Orlyonok" intends to attract more youth detachments from the Vitebsk region in 2017

The All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" in Krasnodar Krai intends to increase the number of pedagogical detachments from the Vitebsk region next year, as reported by Viktor Glushin, the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM.

"We currently have about 130 contracts concluded with 'Orlyonok' – this is the number of young people who are working or have already worked in the camp as part of student detachments this work semester. These are mainly service detachments. And from May 12 to August 7, our best pedagogical detachment "NLO Plus" is working at "Orlyonok". The guys who returned to Vitebsk after two shifts brought back commendations. Russians like our student detachments, and they are interested in increasing their number next year," explained Viktor Glushin.

Meanwhile, the result of new contacts and agreements between the BRSM and employers was the dispatch of a consolidated construction detachment to the city of Beloyarsky, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, on July 6. Slightly more than 20 students from educational institutions in Vitebsk (primarily the Vitebsk State Industrial and Construction College) will be working on local facilities until September 6.

"Employment is not easy this year, there are not enough construction sites. Therefore, out of 2442 people whom we have provided with secondary employment, as of July 18, the majority are working as part of agricultural and environmental detachments. The latter are usually engaged in tree planting," added Viktor Glushin. A small number have also been involved in the improvement of the city of Senno, which will host the regional festival "Dazhynki". This district center with its facilities has been declared the site of the regional youth construction project. And the BRSM Regional Committee plans to hold an event there soon to present the detachment members with relevant certificates.
