Wage growth must be accompanied by an increase in labor productivity and profitability - A. Lukashenko
July 6, Minsk /BELTA/. Roads to the regional centers of Belarus will be reconstructed by 2015. This was reported to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on July 6 during his visit to Shklov, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Vice-Premier Anatoly Kalinin reported to the head of state on the development of the network of republican roads until 2020. As a result, it is planned to create a network of roads of increased comfort in Belarus and ensure greater road safety. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to ensure proper quality in carrying out this work and reasonable spending of financial resources.
In Shklov, the President opened the reconstructed bridge over the Dnieper River. The bridge was built in 1962. During its operation, various defects appeared, affecting the safety and durability of the structure. In addition, the load-bearing capacity parameters and the dimensions of the roadway no longer met modern regulatory requirements. For these reasons, the head of state instructed to reconstruct the bridge. Currently, work has been completed on the reconstruction of supports and the installation of spans, laying of the bridge deck, arrangement of sidewalks and lighting, and construction of approaches. As a result of the bridge reconstruction, Shklov received a reliable transport network across the Dnieper, which also ensures the prospect of developing the embankment zone on the right bank of this river and creates a basis for further socio-cultural development of the Dnieper region - one of the most picturesque in Belarus.
The bridge over the Dnieper in Shklov is an important and already functioning element of the state program "Roads of Belarus for 2006-2015" in terms of artificial structures and one of the key components of the development of the republican transport infrastructure.
The head of state familiarized himself with the socio-economic development of the Shklovsky district, communicated with representatives of the work collectives of road organizations that participated in the reconstruction of the bridge, and residents of Shklov.
One of the topics of conversation was the implementation of investment projects in the district, including in agriculture. The head of state confirmed that his position is unchanged - an investor working in Belarus must fulfill his obligations, and such cooperation should be beneficial both for the investor himself and for the state. "Our interest must be observed impeccably," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The President was also interested in the development of the production sector in the district, particularly paper production. According to local management, the newsprint paper mill operates stably. The team of the Spartak paper mill is also successfully mastering production capacities. They plan to continue developing this area in the district.
The conversation also touched upon the production of agricultural products and their subsequent sale in domestic and foreign markets. "Now there is enough of everything. We need to take it where there is demand and sell it at a higher price so that people have a normal salary," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
As reported by the Governor of the Mogilev region, Petr Rudnik, the average salary in the region is currently over Br3.2 million. By the end of the year, it is planned to increase it to $500 in equivalent terms. In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko once again warned that wage growth must be accompanied by an increase in labor productivity and the profitability of enterprises. "There is no easy money, no one will give you money from outside, let alone print it," the President noted.
The head of state actively inquired about the problems that concern local residents. Deviating from the planned program, Alexander Lukashenko walked along one of the central streets of Shklov, approaching and talking with people who had gathered near the reconstructed bridge. The President also visited one of the local grocery stores, where he familiarized himself with the range of goods offered.
It is planned that in the evening, the head of state will visit the traditional festival "Kupalye" ("Alexandria Gathers Friends") in the Shklovsky district. One of the central events of the festival will be a concert program by artists from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine "Slavyanskiy Karagod on Kupalye Holiday." -0-
