Rudakovo vegetable growers harvested a record cucumber crop

Vegetable growers at the Vitebsk greenhouse complex UP "Rudakovo" harvested several times more first-crop cucumbers in greenhouses where lighting equipment was replaced.

– Out of 6 thousand lamps and fixtures, 4.5 thousand have been replaced, and in some greenhouses, they have been completely replaced. The work continues. We plan to spend 1 million rubles of our own funds on modernization. The result was not long in coming: we have already harvested 30 tons of "Meva" hybrid cucumbers, compared to 2.3 tons during the same period last year. And this is despite the fact that the plants for artificial lighting were planted on the usual date – December 20. The first harvest was received on January 10, – reported Raisa Krupаtina, head of production.

The new season has begun successfully for the Rudakovo vegetable growers. Currently, cucumber and tomato seedlings are being planted in the remaining greenhouse areas, which occupy 8 hectares each without artificial lighting (1.5 hectares with artificial lighting).

Over the season, the vegetable growers of the Rudakovo greenhouse complex plan to harvest at least 10 thousand tons of vitamin-rich produce.
