The head of a boarding school in the Verkhnedvinsk district took bribes from subordinates

The head of one of the nursing homes in the Verkhnedvinsk district received bribes from his subordinates, Dmitry Orekhva, prosecutor of the department for supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases and analysis of judicial practice of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, told a BELTA correspondent. Abusing his official position, the acting director of the social institution decided to improve his financial situation at the expense of his subordinates. Thus, he took $500 from one nurse for hiring her acquaintance to the nursing home, and $200 from another for a promotion. He also received $300 from a sanitary worker for not bringing him to disciplinary action, which threatened dismissal, for being at work while intoxicated. For bribery, the head was sentenced to three years and one month in prison with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions. -0-
