He announced this today at a regular session of the Vitebsk Regional Council, a BELTA correspondent reports. Work with citizens' appeals remains a priority for local authorities. Over 10 months of the current year, the regional executive committee received more than 3.7 thousand appeals from citizens, which is 17% more than in the same period last year. According to the governor, this indicates that citizens trust the authorities. The appeals are dominated by issues related to communal services and housing. The most pressing issues are the capital repair of housing stock, including compliance with deadlines for putting housing into capital repair, improvement of adjacent and yard territories, streets, and allocation of social housing. All problems identified by the residents of the region during direct telephone lines with local government officials will be accumulated. This will not only help solve individual problems but also identify the "pain points" of the regions. "When communicating with the residents of the region, you must treat each person as if they were close to you," the governor urged his colleagues. -0-
