Dear residents of the region!
We congratulate you on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia!
We have much in common and in kinship. Common history, culture, traditions. Belarusians and Russians are distinguished by diligence, integrity, openness and readiness to help, to lend a shoulder in difficult times, our brotherhood is cemented by military trials and labor achievements. More than a quarter of a century ago, a treaty on the creation of a community of our countries was signed, which marked the beginning of integration building in the Union State. The implementation of interstate and interregional programs is aimed at developing the economies and strengthening the well-being of our citizens.
Today, much is being done to deepen Belarusian-Russian partnership. More than 40 agreements have been concluded by the regional executive committee and the regional Council of Deputies with regions of the Russian Federation, and over 100 with cities and districts of the region. We are actively preparing for the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Vitebsk, Polotsk and Novopolotsk in the summer. We are confident that it will give a new impetus to our mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen our union.
We wish the residents of the region, Russian friends and partners success in their creative work, health, happiness and well-being!
May the boldest plans be realized, and may peace and harmony reign in our common home!
