This bright and joyful holiday reminds us that a woman who gives life, raises, inspires good deeds and endeavors, teaches patience and wisdom deserves words of sincere gratitude, love, and respect. Everything we have comes from our mother. A mother is always kind, tireless, and protects her children. She is generous and forgiving. And these are just a few strokes to the portrait of a mother.
The true purpose of a woman is to create a home. Large, close-knit families are the key to the strength and success of the state. It is wonderful when traditional values take root in them, a healthy lifestyle is cultivated, and love and care reside.
A mother's labor is recognized with high state awards. The most important is the Order of Mother, awarded to those who have given birth and
who have raised five or more children. This high award in the Vitebsk region has been granted to 757 women, 33 of whom were honored in 2019.Annually, 25 residents of the Vitebsk region are awarded the prize of the regional executive committee named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Zinaida Mikhailovna Tusnolobova-Marchenko, who, with her love for life, set an example of maternal heroism. By supporting motherhood, the authorities count on increasing the role and responsibility of parents in child-rearing, and on preserving harmony and mutual understanding in family relationships.
