The leadership of the Vitebsk region addressed congratulations on the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers
Dear fellow countrymen!
February 15 is a day of remembrance, courage, and unbreakable combat brotherhood for soldiers-internationalists who went through the crucible of the Afghan war.
The Afghan war left an unhealed wound in the hearts of our compatriots, but at the same time, it showed that the new generation is worthy of the feats of their grandfathers who fought against fascism during the Great Patriotic War.
The events in the "hot spots" of near and far abroad claimed the lives of many young soldiers, sergeants, and officers. Among them are our fellow countrymen who fulfilled their military duty to the end. We share the pain of mothers and widows, and bow to the bright memory of the fallen heroes.
On these days, we pay tribute and express gratitude to all servicemen who defended the interests of the Motherland in international military conflicts. Throughout the region, events are being held aimed at preserving the memory of those who fought outside their country.
May this date serve as a reminder of how important it is to preserve and maintain peace and harmony.
