The events of 1917 became a turning point for the entire world history. Free education and healthcare, an eight-hour working day, the abolition of class privileges, freedom of conscience, and equality of civil rights for women and men are the key achievements of that era.
The aspiration for peace, solidarity, and responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland remain our genetic code.
Today, Belarus is multiplying the heritage of the era, achieving success in building a society where man was and remains the main actor. Vitebsk region also makes a significant contribution to solving such an important state task. Today, our efforts are aimed at consolidating positive trends in the economy and social sphere, and improving the quality of life of the region's population.
Dear compatriots! On this day, accept wishes for a careful attitude towards historical memory, respect for the military and labor achievements of the generations of ancestors.
