The Vitebsk region administration sent congratulations to the region's residents on Father's Day

Dear residents of Vitebsk region!        

For the first time, Father's Day is celebrated in our country. The initiative to establish this holiday was voiced during the President's address with the Message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on January 28, 2022. The Head of State supported the idea.

The date of October 21 was chosen logically: a tradition has developed in the country to celebrate Mother's Day on October 14, and now there is an opportunity to celebrate Parental Week.

Strengthening the role of fatherhood is one of the most important tasks of state family policy. Fatherhood is a serious test of a man's social and moral maturity, constant work, and responsibilities. A man, a father, is the foundation of the family, the one who will protect, support, and offer a helping hand.

At all times, our paternal duty is to ensure wives, children, and grandchildren the right to a fair and dignified life, to a cloudless future.

May we all have enough health, strength, and responsibility to fulfill this duty, for the great service to our family, our beloved region, and our entire Fatherland – the land of our fathers.
