The Vitebsk region administration congratulates the residents of the region on Constitution Day

From today, Belarus lives with an updated Constitution, adopted by the majority of citizens in a republican referendum in February of this year. We have created and adopted a unique legal document that enshrines the key values of modern Belarusian society: the sovereignty and independence of the country, popular power and unity of governance, the rights and freedoms of citizens.

The Basic Law of our country 28 years ago opened a new page in the history of sovereign Belarus, and now it has given an additional impetus to its development. It combines traditions and innovations, a qualitative renewal of the political system, and has created a platform that takes into account all current trends in socio-economic transformations.

Life shows that a person's success is determined by their diligence, initiative, perseverance, and responsibility. Without consent in society, patriotism, and the ability to manage resources wisely at the local level, we will not be able to reach certain heights, to make our region richer and stronger. The potential of Vitebsk region is great, its strength lies in the character and intellect of its people, natural resources, and historical memory. Our future depends on how effectively we use this, on professionalism and discipline. May the wisdom and justice enshrined in the lines of the Basic Law become a support for a full dialogue between the state and citizens!
