The leadership of the Vitebsk region addressed the internationalist soldiers, the relatives of fallen soldiers on the land of Afghanistan and in other countries

Dear soldiers-internationalists! Dear compatriots!

On February 15, we honor the memory of the feat of soldiers who fulfilled their international duty in the Republic of Afghanistan and participated in the settlement of international military conflicts.

In difficult conditions, far from their Motherland, servicemen and civilian specialists defended the interests of the Fatherland, demonstrating the highest professionalism, unparalleled courage, and strength of spirit while solving responsible tasks.

For our contemporaries, those who served in the military outside the Fatherland, the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists embodies peace and tranquility on earth. We share the pain of mothers and widows who lost their sons and husbands in that war. Their feat will live forever!

May the courage and resilience of the defenders of the fraternal people, their valor and bravery serve as an example for modern youth.

Thank you to all soldiers-internationalists who remain true to patriotic ideals today. May this date remind us of the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in our country and on the planet.
