The leadership of the Senno district must pay close attention to the problems of youth - A. Yakobson
May 23, Senno / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The leadership of the Senno district needs to pay close attention to the problems of youth. This opinion was expressed today to journalists by the Chairman of the Committee of State Control of Belarus, Alexander Yakobson. He held a reception of citizens in the Senno district as part of the interdepartmental group's work to monitor the state of work of state bodies and organizations of the Vitebsk region with appeals from citizens and legal entities, BELTA correspondent reports.
The reception of citizens was distinguished by a richness of issues in various fields. Many problems were raised by young residents. In particular, the unsatisfactory condition of the House of Culture and the Civil Registry Office of the district executive committee was discussed. The issue raised by a young man prompted the Chairman of the CSC to personally visit the problematic department. The unappealing facade and interior, unchanged since Soviet times, caused considerable criticism of the local authorities. At the same time, the sums needed for the repair of the Civil Registry Office are small and can be found in the district budget, believes Alexander Yakobson.
Attention to the problems of youth will help solve a serious problem of the district - the shortage of personnel. Young specialists, after distribution, do not stay at their first job and strive to leave. The Senno district experiences a shortage of doctors and agricultural specialists. "We must respect young people so that they stay," stated Alexander Yakobson.
At the same time, no unsolvable problems were raised by citizens. "The issues concerned people's livelihoods, most of them require careful attention from the authorities, rather than significant funds," believes Alexander Yakobson.
The Chairman of the CSC also met with the labor collective of Senno Rayagorservice and answered the workers' questions.
In pursuance of the instructions of the President of Belarus, an interdepartmental working group consisting of representatives of the Committee of State Control, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations is monitoring the state of work of state bodies and organizations of the Vitebsk region with appeals from citizens and legal entities from May 22 to May 25, 2012. Specialists from the interdepartmental group are conducting mobile reception offices, direct telephone lines, and meetings with labor collectives in the Polotsk, Senno, and Vitebsk districts. Members of the interdepartmental group are also receiving citizens in the rural councils of these three districts. The range of issues and topics of interest to the interdepartmental working group is diverse: from issues of budget expenditure, financial and economic activities of industrial, agricultural, construction, housing and communal enterprises, social sphere organizations to the work of officials with citizens, the development of roadside service facilities and agroecotourism. -0-
