RUEP "BelVitunipharm" was included in the privatization plan of Belarusian objects for 2011-2013
April 10, Minsk /BELTA/. The privatization plan for state-owned assets in Belarus for 2011-2013 has been supplemented with another enterprise – RUPP "BelVitunipharm" (Vitebsk). This is stipulated by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of April 7, 2011, No. 454, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian government.
The resolution amends the plan for transforming republican unitary enterprises into open joint-stock companies for 2011-2013, approved by Government Resolution No. 348 of March 21, 2011. Now, the republican unitary production enterprise "BelVitunipharm," belonging to the concern "Belbiopharm," is included in this plan.
The decision was made in accordance with the new version of the law on privatization of state property dated July 16, 2010.
As noted by the State Property Committee, work on establishing a joint-stock company based on RUPP "BelVitunipharm" is currently being finalized. In March 2011, following a tender, the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company became the founder of this enterprise. It plans to invest at least $14 million in its development. Thus, the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company will become a co-founder of "BelVitunipharm" along with the state during its corporatization.
The State Property Committee specified that no other proposals for attracting other participants in the corporatization process of enterprises included in the transformation plan for 2011 have been received. Therefore, joint-stock companies will be established in the first stage with 100% state capital. And in accordance with the new privatization law, it will be possible to sell shares on a compensatory basis to enterprise employees.
It is recalled that the plan for transforming RUPs into OAO for 2011-2013 includes 135 enterprises. Of these, 15 entities are planned to be corporatized in 2011.
Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 348 also approved the privatization plan for assets owned by the Republic of Belarus. For 2011-2013, the sale of shares in 244 enterprises is planned, including 180 OAO in 2011.
RUPP "BelVitunipharm" was established in 2008. Its main activities include the production of pharmaceutical preparations and materials, as well as veterinary drugs, medical instruments, apparatus, and equipment. -0-
