RUEP "Megom" has been liquidated by decision of the Vitebsk Regional Economic Court

August 18, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The economic court of the Vitebsk region has completed the liquidation proceedings in the bankruptcy case of the republican unitary production enterprise "Megom", the judge of the economic court Viktor Shilchenok informed a BELTA correspondent.

The decision on bankruptcy with liquidation of the enterprise was made in July 2009. In the course of liquidation proceedings, the crisis manager partially paid off the enterprise's debts at the expense of its property in the amount of about Br380 million, and also made extraordinary payments of wages to employees and other mandatory payments in the amount of over Br534 million. In total, at the time of completion of the liquidation proceedings, the register of creditors' claims included debts totaling over Br2.4 billion. In addition, permanent storage documents were submitted to the state archive of the Vitebsk region, and temporary storage personnel documents were transferred to the parent enterprise "Vitebsk Radio Components Plant "Monolit". After the court decision enters into legal force, RUPP "Megom" will be excluded from the state register of legal entities.

The economic insolvency (bankruptcy) case of "Megom" was initiated in February 2009 at the initiative of the enterprise itself by decision of the owner, which was the Ministry of Industry. "Megom" did not actually carry out production and economic activities, mainly engaging in the sale of previously produced products. The value of its assets at the time of filing the application with the court was estimated at Br513 million. The number of employees did not exceed 15 people.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the department for rehabilitation and bankruptcy of the Ministry of Economy, RUPP "Megom" was recognized as stably insolvent. In addition, the board of the Ministry of Industry, acting as the owner of the enterprise, recognized the ineffectiveness of taking measures for its pre-trial rehabilitation.

RUEP "Megom" was founded in 1968 and specialized in the production of resistors. After joining the "Monolit" production association in 1971, "Megom" mastered the production of capacitors for enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the USSR. In 1997, due to the cessation of product procurement, "Megom" was withdrawn from the "Monolit" PA and began to specialize in the production of consumer goods. In 2008, the real estate of "Megom" was transferred free of charge to the "Belbiofarm" concern for the organization of pharmaceutical production in Vitebsk.-0-
