December 30, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. RUPP "Vityaz" is developing an interactive classroom for educational institutions, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The new development by Vitebsk designers is a wide-format interactive board (diagonal from 78 inches to 85 inches), a projector, a computer, an acoustic system, a DVD player, a microphone, and a voting system that allows for surveying students. All this is combined into a single complex, which successfully replaces traditional wooden boards and chalk. At the same time, the functional capabilities of such a complex are significantly broader: it provides prompt monitoring of students' knowledge, allows for logging the entire lesson, facilitates collaborative project work, ensures electronic preparation of classes, and much more. Depending on the age of the students and the purpose, interactive classrooms are divided into several types, from simple to complex. The preliminary cost of the complex will range from Br25 million to Br30 million. By agreement with the Ministry of Education, in early 2010, RUPP "Vityaz" plans to supply one of the republic's gymnasiums with three experimental interactive classrooms of various designs: stationary (with ceiling-mounted projector), mobile (projector mounted on a stand), and semi-mobile version (front projector installation on a table). After testing in practice by education specialists, the version that will form the basis for the development of design documentation for mass production will be selected. The implementation of the interactive complex is another step towards the innovative development of the education system. It can be used to organize the learning process more effectively, the enterprise noted. The enterprise was founded in 1976. It specializes in the production of televisions. It produces fire safety and household appliances, medical equipment, furniture, and building materials. Currently, about 5,000 people work here. -0-
