RUE "Vityaz" has released the first batch of GK-10V steam sterilizers

July 31, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Republican Unitary Enterprise "Vityaz" has released the first batch of GK-10V steam sterilizers, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The equipment is designed for sterilization with saturated steam under excess pressure of medical instruments, other medical devices, as well as for processing materials used in the food, confectionery, biochemical industries and for scientific and laboratory research. The development of the GK-10V steam sterilizer was carried out by "Vityaz" within the framework of the state program of import substitution for 2006-2010. Its technical characteristics correspond to the level of foreign analogues, but the price of the domestic product is 1.5 times lower, specialists noted. The new product line also includes items with volumes of 22 l, 43 l, 63 l, and 100 l. It is planned that the annual output of steam sterilizers will be about 500 units. Based on the results of the first half of the year, the enterprise increased the production volume of medical equipment by 90% compared to the previous year. The share of new types of products in this area for January-June reached 56.5% compared to the same period in 2008. The share of domestic components was 90%. The enterprise was founded in 1976. It specializes in the production of televisions. It also produces fire-fighting and household appliances, medical equipment, furniture, and building materials. Almost all components for the products are manufactured at the plant. Currently, about 5,000 people work here. -0-
