Vladimir Terentyev congratulated on the 5th anniversary of the State Committee of Forensic Expertise
In five years, the expert department has taken a worthy place in the system of state bodies. As noted by Yuri Shchetko, head of the State Forensic Examination Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region, since 2013, his subordinates have performed about 210,000 examinations and over 20,000 investigations.
— We have managed to eliminate the staff shortage, increase the efficiency of conducting and introduce new types of forensic examinations. For example, electronic devices, construction and technical, commodity, and economic. Conditions for scientific and methodological activities have also been created, — said Yuri Anatolyevich. — High-precision expensive equipment is being purchased, which allows tasks to be performed at the highest level and in the shortest possible time. For instance, a three-level system for drug testing is in operation, which has no analogues in the post-Soviet space. Substances banned from circulation can be tested not only in Vitebsk but also in Polotsk.
Colleagues from related departments and Vladimir Terentyev, head of the regional Council of Deputies, came to congratulate the experts of the Vitebsk region.
— Your professionalism ensures the stability and security of the state, protects the rights and interests of citizens and society, — said Vladimir Vladimirovich. — The work of experts is impossible without the use of the most modern technical means and developments. The regional authorities are doing everything possible to improve the material and technical base of the department.
