Employees of the Vologda region's consumer cooperative visited Vitebsk region on a business mission

Russian guests met with their colleagues from the region, visited the Polotsk Trade and Technology College, where they learned how personnel are trained for the consumer cooperative system.

In addition, the Russians evaluated the work of UP "Polotsk Market", the Polotsk "Central Market". They were also shown the "Diskont" convenience store in Borovukha, and the "Centralny" №24 and "Rodny Kut" supermarkets of the "Kooptorg №2 Postavsky Raypo" branch.

The production sites aroused great interest among the Vologda cooperators. They saw the work of the bakery, confectionery, sausage, slaughterhouse, and pickling and salting workshops. Here, they were also presented with technological innovations that increase production efficiency.

The business trip was initiated by the Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Vologda consumer society "Soyuz" and the Vitebsk Regional Union of Consumer Societies. Therefore, it is not surprising that within the framework of the business mission, negotiations on cooperation between cooperators of the two regions took place. A tasting of Vologda and Belarusian food products was also organized so that the parties could evaluate their taste and the potential for promoting food products in their markets.

Cooperators intend to actively develop Russian-Belarusian cooperation in a local context. Guests from the neighboring country invited their colleagues to pay a return visit to the Vologda region.
