Students of the Gorodok Agricultural Technical College returned with a double victory from the republican competition "Agromasterstvo".
It took place at BSUAT in Minsk in mid-March as part of the "Agrarian Spring" project. A team of fourth-year students, including Leonid Lovikov, Viktor Novikov, and Anatoly Tsybulsky, under the guidance of college instructor Nikolay Vikhotenko, brought victory to their educational institution in the "Technical Support for Agricultural Production Processes" nomination. The "GGATC" educational institution was awarded a first-degree diploma as the best secondary vocational education institution training specialists in the "Technical Support for Agricultural Production Processes" specialty.
The team of Gorodok State Agrarian-Technical College at BSUAT. College student Leonid Lovikov won in the individual competition, having best coped with the tasks – adjusting mechanisms, checking the tractor's hydraulic system, and explaining the design and operating principles of a combine harvester. The student was awarded two diplomas and a cup, which were presented to him in a solemn ceremony by the rector of BSUAT, Ivan Shilo. The opportunity to showcase his skills at a republican competition is doubly pleasant for Leonid Lovikov: this year he plans to enroll in BSUAT at the Agrarian-Mechanical Faculty, majoring in "Mechanical Engineer".
The team and individual victory of the Gorodok College students is the result of excellent theoretical and practical training provided within its walls to graduates. The Director of the "GGATC" educational institution, Vladimir Shitko, notes that the college provides all the necessary conditions for student development and training of highly qualified specialists. Upon assignment to their workplaces, they will work for the benefit of the country's agro-industrial complex.
The cups and diplomas brought from the republican "Agromasterstvo" competition have taken a place of honor among other awards that the college's collection is replenished with annually, thanks to the experience of teachers, and the initiative and determination of students.
