With a globe to the land of knowledge. Vladimir Terentyev presented gifts to the first-graders of the Yezherishchenskaya school

On the eve of Knowledge Day, an unusual gift – a globe – was presented to the first-graders of the Yezershchinskaya School named after P. Antipov, Horadok District, by Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus".

September 1 is eagerly awaited not only by children but also by adults. It is from this date that the journey to the land of knowledge begins, where every child in Belarus will learn the history of their homeland, study exact sciences, and master literacy. The first lesson at the Yezershchinskaya School, conducted by teacher Tatyana Makarova, was dedicated to this.

By the way, all conditions are created in this educational institution for obtaining a decent education. As its director, Elena Mavrina, said, there are two mulboards, the necessary number of computers, fully equipped chemistry, physics, and labor education classrooms, and a renovated stadium. In recent years, a solid material and technical base has been created (largely thanks to the support of Vladimir Terentyev). And this yields results: 75% of the school's graduates were admitted to higher education institutions this year.

– The district leadership and its pedagogical community have a clear understanding that the education system needs to be developed, – noted the head of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps. – And much is being done for this. As a result, students from local schools win prizes at both regional and republican stages of Olympiads. Special attention is also paid to the patriotic education of the younger generation; all secondary educational institutions have been named after Heroes of the Soviet Union and famous fellow countrymen. And this work will continue. As for career guidance, the Horadok District is one of the leaders in the region. They see what is required by young people who are focused on acquiring working professions. It is gratifying that many return to work in their small homeland: out of 10 young specialists who arrived here to work this year, seven are graduates of local schools.

It is planned that next year, it will be Gorodok that hosts the large-scale republican festival – the Day of Belarusian Written Language. It will showcase the rich literary history of both the district and the Vitebsk region as a whole.
