Since the beginning of 2016, employees of 10 institutions and organizations in the Vitebsk region have become members of the trade union of state employees

According to Vladimir Myadelets, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of State and Other Institutions, in a difficult economic situation, it is important not to leave any employee alone with their problems, whether at a state-owned or private enterprise. In this regard, the regional trade union committee attaches particular importance to the creation of trade union primary organizations.

Since the beginning of 2016, employees of 10 institutions and organizations of the Vitebsk region have joined the ranks of the trade union of state bodies employees. And the primary organizations of the environmental institution "Yelnya" of the Miory district, the institution "Administration of the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone", the Vitebsk Regional Department of the State Labor Inspectorate, the Department of Compulsory Enforcement of the Senno district have already received registration certificates.

According to Tatyana Zubova, chief specialist for organizational work of the regional trade union committee, much depends on the leader in the work on creating a trade union primary organization. For example, Alexander Solovov, chairman of the Vitebsk unified organizational structure of DOSAAF, a former serviceman, has been a trade union member for more than 10 years and knows about its role firsthand. Therefore, he accepted the proposal to create a trade union in his team with understanding. By mutual agreement between the management and the regional trade union committee, an founding meeting was held, during which trade union representatives explained to the organization's employees the advantages of trade union membership, social guarantees, and the protection of their rights. During the meeting, employees were interested in the possibility of purchasing vouchers with a 25% discount for trade union members and their children at the expense of the organizational structures of the trade union and employers. The employer, on the other hand, from the trade union side, that

not unimportant, receives qualified legal assistance, professional development of staff on occupational safety and labor legislation.    

This was also stated by the head of the Vitebsk regional department of the State Labor Inspectorate Department, Yakov Zhulev, at an organizational meeting of the staff on the establishment of a trade union organization. "I place great hopes on the trade union. I understand that the staff needs a trade union, as it will further unite the staff, allowing employees to enjoy additional benefits and guarantees," he emphasized.

A great deal of work on establishing primary trade union organizations is being carried out by the chairman of the Novopolotsk city committee of the trade union of workers of state institutions, Andrey Odinochkin. The chairman of the city committee holds meetings in labor collectives, conducts agitation and explanatory work on the significance of the trade union organization and the collective agreement. The result of this work was the establishment of a trade union in the Novopolotsk department of compulsory enforcement of the department of compulsory enforcement of the main justice department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee. The idea to unite into a trade union, as noted by the department's management, was supported by all 15 employees, as they are confident that a trade union is not only additional social guarantees but also an opportunity to make the life of the young team interesting.

The work on establishing new trade union organizations and concluding collective agreements in all primary trade union organizations of the Vitebsk regional organization of the trade union of state institution workers continues.
