The website of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee won the "TIBO-2021" internet award
Winners of the "TIBO-2021" Internet Award were honored in Minsk. A total of 502 websites competed for the title of the best Baunet resource in 12 nominations.
In the "Cities, Regions, and District Executive Committees" nomination, the official website of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee took first place. The winner was awarded the main prize of the competition – a crystal globe symbolizing the boundless possibilities of modern computer technologies – and a diploma.
The main difference of the 2021 award is that the contestants' websites in this nomination were evaluated according to the criteria for assessing the functioning of government body websites, developed by the Research Institute of Theory and Practice of Public Administration of the Academy of Public Administration under the President, in conjunction with the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus and the Faculty of Journalism of BSU.
Over the past two years, the official website of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has undergone modernization. News blocks, sections, and the media gallery have been transformed. An interactive module "Announcements Calendar" with an information feed and a media kit has been created. In addition, the PDA version has been redesigned for all language platforms. Currently, the website is one of the most visited in the region. The site has a version for the visually impaired, a feedback form, is compatible with various web browsers, and is integrated with social networks and messengers.
By the way, the internet award is being held in Belarus for the 18th time. It is awarded to internet resources that have made a significant contribution to the development of the Belarusian segment of the Internet and are aimed at broad coverage of the state's activities in the online environment, increasing the level of electronic participation of its users in public administration, as well as promoting and popularizing the state's achievements in the IT sector.
Since the beginning of the competition, it has
more than 8 thousand Belarusian Internet resources took part.
