The most accurate shooter will be chosen in the Polotsk district on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day

A keen eye and a steady hand should distinguish a true man, decided in the Polotsk District Executive Committee and invited hunters on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day to demonstrate their skills in shooting from a hunting rifle. On February 21, the open district championship "Polotsk Shooter" will be held at the shooting range near the village of Farinovo, the ideological work department of the Polotsk District Executive Committee told a BELTA correspondent. The idea was well-received not only by Polotsk shooters (there are 700 hunters in the district who are members of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen), but also by their colleagues from hunting grounds and forestry enterprises of the region. Six forestry enterprises have already sent their applications to participate in this tournament, and the renowned private hunting grounds "Lebedinoye" and "Skif" have also accepted the challenge. Hunters will have to hit two targets: "running boar" and "standing roe deer". Based on the shooting results, winners will be announced in team and individual categories. The organizers of the competition have also taken care of the fans: fun games and surprises from the local consumer cooperative await them. -0-
