The most reading family was chosen in Verkhnedvinsk

Самую читающую семью выбрали в Верхнедвинске

According to Lyudmila Kuvshinova, director of the Verkhnedvinsk Centralized Library System, the district competition "Mom, Dad, I – a Reading Family" was held on such a large scale for the first time. Families of employees from enterprises and organizations were invited to participate, supported by cheering squads from work collectives. Thus, the event ultimately strengthened not only family ties but also corporate spirit.

A rich program awaited the participants, where they had to prove themselves as the most attentive reader, an expert on authors and their works, proverbs, and literary characters, and try on costumes of fairy-tale characters. As a result, after the stages "Literary Darts," "The Author is Lost," "Fairy-tale Mosaic," "Draw the Hero," and others, the Tereshko family, representing the Verkhnedvinsk Forestry, was recognized as the most reading family. It was Nikolay, Tatyana, and their daughter Maria who coped best with the tasks. The Karalyonok family from the dairy plant – Sergey, Irina, and 12-year-old Dima – took second place. The "bronze" was shared by the Stepanyan family from the district agricultural service and the Denisenok family, who defended the honor of the district hospital.
