The highest potato yield in the country is achieved by residents of Tolochin

The Tolochin Cannery has the largest potato field in Belarus – 900 ha.

According to the chief agronomist of the enterprise, Tatiana Kapranova, as of yesterday, 782 ha had been harvested, with over 38 thousand tons of tubers dug up at a yield of 486 c/ha. 11 potato harvesters are involved in the fields. As noted in the regional agricultural production department, the Tolochin Cannery not only has the largest area but also the highest yield of the second bread in Belarus. In total, in the Vitebsk region, 2.7 thousand ha of potatoes have been harvested (72.5% of the plan), with 74.7 thousand tons dug up at a yield of 274.2 c/ha.
