The largest round dance, a royal throne, and car audio. A parade of Father Frosts and Snow Maidens took place in Vitebsk
The real winter, with white blizzards and biting frost, is surely ahead. In the meantime, in Vitebsk, a festive mood was created with a parade of Father Frosts, Snow Maidens, and other fairy-tale characters. The procession started on December 20 at 7:00 PM from the Holy Protection Cathedral and proceeded along Lenin Street to Victory Square. About two thousand "magical" characters took part in it, including 600 pairs of Father Frosts and their "granddaughters."
Every organization and enterprise worked diligently to get into character. For example, the railway workers "assembled" if not a New Year's express, then certainly a charming festive locomotive. The limousine from which costumed characters waved to the residents and guests of the regional center will also be remembered for a long time. The final chord of the event was the "Let's Light the Tree Together" campaign, which marked the activation of the city's New Year's illumination.

Vitebsk's main green beauty and its decorations have been left unchanged. However, there will be surprises in the lighting. Residents will be able to appreciate them in the coming days, when an unusual corridor, shimmering with bright New Year's lights, will be installed on Victory Square.

The bright show has become a tradition, but every year it continues to delight with new "highlights." This time, among them were the largest New Year's round dance, the participation of car audio vehicles (for greater volume), and the spectacular entrance of the main Father Frost and Snow Maiden. Every year, the central New Year's character arrives at the square in different ways: sometimes on a troika, sometimes in a convertible. This time, the "appearance" among the people was truly royal – the master of the holiday looked down on everyone, sitting on a throne placed on a platform.
