The fastest stage of the maneuvering competition will have to be overcome by the racers in Vitebsk

September 11, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The fastest stage of the "Comma Oil Cup" maneuvering competition awaits car racers in Vitebsk on September 12, in connection with the traditional republican campaign "Athletes for Road Safety," the head of the organizing committee of the event, Anatoly Shevchenko, told a BELTA correspondent. The races and car show will take place on Pobedy Avenue in the regional center. As the interlocutor noted, the track in Vitebsk is particularly challenging due to the presence of straight sections, so many racers come to the city with particular pleasure to demonstrate their skills. More than 20 athletes have applied to participate in the races. After two stages, Minsk resident Andrey Baranovsky retains the lead in the absolute standings, with his compatriots Dmitry Barkan and Sergey Artyomenko taking second and third places, respectively. Numerous motorsport fans will witness a tense battle at high speeds, and some will have the opportunity to ride alongside famous car racers in a car on special tracks. By participating in car-themed contests, spectators can win CDs with recordings of past competitions, which, by the way, have been held for eight consecutive years. In addition, demonstration laps and driving skill demonstrations will be organized. The youngest motorsport fans will not be overlooked by the organizers – a quiz on traffic rules will be held for children, all participants of which will receive flickers and souvenirs as gifts. The republican campaign "Athletes for Road Safety," within the framework of which the Comma Oil Cup for high-speed car maneuvering is contested, is held from August 22 to October 17. The competition includes six stages and takes place in four car classes (depending on body length and number of driven axles - A1, A2, A3, and "Free") and an absolute standings. The next stage of the Cup will be held on September 26 in Brest, and the final races will take place in Minsk on October 17, on the eve of Driver's Day. The campaign is organized by the editorial office of the newspaper "Autodigest" with the support of the Main Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. -0-
