The most talkative city in Belarus turned out to be Brest
Residents of Brest turned out to be the most talkative subscribers in Belarus. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by representatives of the mobile operator MTS, after analyzing the activity of their subscribers in January-February 2013.
The average monthly duration of outgoing calls made by a regular subscriber from Brest is 22% higher than the same indicator for Minsk.
Residents of Brest lead both in the duration of outgoing calls and in their quantity. On average, a resident of Brest makes 67 mobile phone calls per month.
The list of the "most calling" cities also includes Vitebsk, Grodno, Baranovichi, Novopolotsk, Kobrin, Volkovysk, Soligorsk, Mogilev, and Mozyr, where an MTS subscriber makes from 51 to 63 outgoing calls per month.
Among district centers, residents of Baranovichi talk the most, while Chechersk turned out to be the most passive, with about 12 outgoing calls per subscriber per month.
The cellular operator determined the settlements of Belarus where voice services are most actively used based on data on the number and average monthly duration of outgoing calls from one subscriber number. The latter indicator represents the ratio of total outgoing voice traffic to the number of subscribers in each settlement. This means that it does not depend on the mobile operator's penetration and reflects the subscribers' activity.
