The most spectacular Ded Moroz and Snegurochka were chosen in Vitebsk at the regional review-competition "Yolka-FEST-2013".
This event brought together the best six pairs of New Year's characters from Vitebsk, Orsha, Ushachi, Beshenkovichi, and Vitebsk districts in the round hall of the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
What are real Ded Moroz and Snegurochka like?
— Like us! — are confident Lyudmila Shlyk and Alexander Prokhorov, who, along with a support group of schoolgirls-«snowflakes», represented the Vitebsk District Center for Children and Youth at the competition. She is an English teacher from Mazolovo, he is a history teacher from Babinichi. But without knowing this, it would have been difficult to guess that behind the costumes of the New Year's characters were those who tried on this role for the first time.
After all, to become a real fairy-tale grandfather and his granddaughter, it is not enough to put on costumes.
— You need to be kind, caring, cheerful, able to joke, love children, and, of course, believe in miracles, — believe Zhanna Deryabina and Alexey Akimov, music teachers at Secondary School No. 33 in Vitebsk.
In addition, as Olga Belchankova, head of the department of socio-artistic and game forms of the regional Palace of Children and Youth, explained, it is necessary to conduct the game program better than everyone else, to show oneself in a fashion show and a creative performance. It was these competitions that made up the contest.
So, the participants had to try hard to surprise both the jury and the young spectators — pupils of primary and secondary schools in Vitebsk.
One pair of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka rode onto the stage on cute reindeer, the second, unexpectedly shedding their fur coats, turned into inhabitants of hot countries and danced a fiery rumba. It turned out that all the fairy-tale characters without exception could sing and dance excellently, recite poetry, and entertain children. The little ones gladly participated in contests, games, danced in circles, danced, sculpted a snow woman, and decorated the Christmas tree.
And what kind of holiday is it without gifts! No one was left without them – neither the children nor the participants of the review competition. But still, the main awards went to the winners. However, in the opinion of the jury, no pair reached the title of the best Ded Moroz and Snegurochka. Only Lyubov Streltsova and Pavel Baluk from the Beshenkovichi District Center for Children and Youth were awarded a third-degree diploma. But overall, the best plot and game program was presented by contestants from Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 7, Maria Chizhan and Valentin Zhuromsky, with their reindeer sleigh.
All the creative developments of the teachers will soon find application in holiday programs in their institutions, at district and city events.
