The Vitebsk region team became the best among Belarusians at the Union State student tourist rally

The Vitebsk region team was recognized as the best among Belarusian teams at the XII tourist rally of the Union State students, held in the Vladimir region.

A total of 41 teams participated in the tourist rally, 7 of which were from Belarus. This is one of the largest union events for young people. Our team consisted of nine young men and women from Vitebsk, Orsha, and Novopolotsk.

Over 500 young tourists aged 14-17 competed in their ability to complete difficult routes, design wall newspapers, and demonstrated their tourist skills and abilities as local lore guides.

There was also an entertainment program: the participants played football, took part in intellectual quizzes, and various competitions.

As Svetlana Shornikova, Head of the Tourism and Sports Orienteering Department of the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth, said, this year the Vitebsk region youth tourist team also distinguished itself at the republican competitions, taking first place in the tourist-applied all-around competition in indoor hiking techniques.

The team's pursuit of victory is supported by Dmitry Khoma, Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee, and Dmitry Andreev, Director of the VRCDY.
