Throughout March-April, schoolchildren and activists of the primary organizations of the BRSM will visit veterans and record their memories of childhood, pre-war times, events of the war years, the joyful Victory Day celebration, and how their post-war life turned out. In May, the collected information will be compiled, and electronic and printed versions of the collection of memories will be prepared by Independence Day. In the future, it is planned to publish it in a small edition, which will be handed over to museums and educational institutions.
A ceremony for awarding the most active participants in the campaign will also be timed to coincide with July 3. They will be treated to a trip to the historical and cultural complex "Stalin Line".
The campaign, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory, is designed to preserve the biographies and memories of veterans about the events of the Great Patriotic War. Its organizers are the Vitebsk regional organization of the BRSM, the Vitebsk regional council of veterans, and the branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation. -0-
