Today, the outpatient clinic of the Rossony Central District Hospital reopened its doors after major renovations

The single-story polyclinic building has not undergone any major repairs since its construction in the early 1960s. "In recent years, appointments were held in separate buildings. Therefore, a whole complex of works was carried out: the roof was replaced, double-glazed windows were installed, the foundation was strengthened, and the walls were plastered and painted. Inside, furniture and medical equipment were replaced. Previously, due to damp basement premises, wooden floors had to be replaced frequently - now everything is cemented and tiled. The adjacent territory has also been improved: an old garden has been landscaped, two gazebos have been installed, trees and ornamental shrubs have been planted, and asphalt has been laid. Children's slides and pull-up bars for sports have been installed, and soon a health trail will be organized," noted the chief physician of the healthcare institution, Alexey Shchelkun.

Similar work has been carried out in the utility building, which houses the food block. A laundry room has also been opened, for which special equipment has been purchased. For the needs of the canteen, two polycarbonate greenhouses have been installed, where vegetables are grown. A total of about Br500 thousand was allocated for the comprehensive reconstruction and renovation of the polyclinic's facilities. The majority of these funds came from the regional budget, the rest was earned at the district subbotnik (volunteer work day). The renovation of the polyclinic, with a capacity of 100 visits per shift, has made primary healthcare services for the district's residents more comfortable and accessible.

The staff, including new additions, will also work comfortably in decent conditions. This year, 7 young specialists of various profiles joined the team. Along with the renewal of the polyclinic's appearance and staff, the range of services has also diversified slightly. Patients are now offered a new type of therapy - sleeping on beehives. For this purpose, a special house was built, inhabited by 4 bee colonies. And soon, an electronic queue system will be implemented. New computers have already been purchased, which will be networked and equipped with special software. According to Alexey Shchelkun, the polyclinic reconstruction is another step in the consistent work to create a modern complex of the Central District Hospital, the so-called hospital

town. Previously, the pediatric, intensive care, surgical, and infectious disease departments had already been renovated. The final touch will be the renovation of another utility building, which houses the garages.
