The agricultural branch "Vitebskenergo" is implementing an investment project for the construction of energy-saving greenhouses
July 5, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The "Teplichny" branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo" is preparing to announce a tender for the design of energy-saving greenhouses with an area of 4 hectares, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.
The construction of energy-saving greenhouses will be the main investment project of the agricultural branch for the next five years. It is planned that the construction of the facility will begin in 2012 and be completed in 2013. Cucumbers and tomatoes will be grown in the new greenhouses using modern technologies. The branch also plans to reconstruct existing greenhouses and update its fleet of equipment, primarily for the mechanization of labor-intensive processes for growing and harvesting open-ground vegetables.
The implementation of the planned projects will allow "Teplichny" to increase gross production by 143% and revenue from sales by 2.7 times by 2015, and to create up to 50 new jobs.
The agricultural enterprise "Teplichny" became a branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo" in 2008. The enterprise specializes in the production of protected and open-ground vegetables, which account for 80% of its production structure, including 65% for protected-ground vegetables. The total area of winter greenhouses is 6 hectares, and open-ground vegetables such as cabbage, beets, carrots, onions, and radishes are cultivated on an area of 120 hectares.
Based on the results of work for 5 months, the branch produced gross output at comparable prices worth over Br3.1 billion, with a growth rate of almost 122% compared to last year. Products worth $41.5 thousand were exported -0-
