Agricultural organizations of Vitebsk region have threshed more than 1 million tons of grain, including corn

Having completed the potato harvest, Vitebsk region farmers are trying to use favorable weather days as effectively as possible, directing all efforts towards corn.

As reported by the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, as of October 25, 67 thousand hectares of this crop had been harvested in the region, which is 84 percent of the plan.

Of these, 64 thousand hectares are for silage and 3 thousand for grain. The region's farms managed to collect over 1.5 million tons of green mass with an average yield of 242 centners per hectare. The grain yield was 21.2 thousand tons with a yield of 70 centners per hectare.
