Agricultural machinery of the Vitebsk region is actively preparing for the spring season
As early as October last year, the regional agricultural sales board approved the regional program for the repair of agricultural machinery, which is currently being implemented on a smaller scale than stipulated by the document. According to the program, 127 billion rubles will be required to pay for spare parts and repair services. To date, 13.6 billion rubles of own funds from agricultural organizations have been spent, and another 12 billion rubles have been allocated from the regional budget. The missing funds will be sought, including through bank loans. And there is very little time for this, as the repair of machinery to be used in sowing must be completed by March 1. This concerns 699 combined soil-cultivating and sowing units, 363 combined soil-cultivating units, 752 mineral fertilizer spreaders, 534 machines for hauling organic matter, and others. By the beginning of spring, 578 high-power tractors must undergo maintenance at the dealerships of RUP "MTZ". About 70 percent of the machinery is repaired on-site – in the agricultural organizations of the agro-industrial complex, and about 1300 engines and 110 gearboxes are repaired at the Vitebsk engine repair plant. In addition, Verkhnedvinsk Rayagorservice is engaged in the restoration of sprayers, and the same dealerships are involved in repairing agricultural machinery from domestic manufacturers and accumulating spare parts.
