Families of workers of the agro-complex «Yanovichi» of the Vitebsk broiler poultry farm celebrated housewarming

Семьи работников агрокомплекса «Яновичи» Витебской бройлерной птицефабрики справили новоселье
A 24-apartment residential building has been commissioned in Yanovichi, Vitebsk region, where families of employees of the Yanovichi agro-complex of the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm celebrated housewarming. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, took part in this event.

The building features centralized water supply, sewage, and gas supply, with six 1-room and 3-room apartments, and twelve 2-room apartments. Young specialists and livestock breeders, including two large families, have moved into these apartments. One-third of the apartments remain in reserve, which will undoubtedly help solve the personnel problem in rural areas.

However, the agro-complex does not experience a shortage of personnel. Moreover, people strive to get jobs here from other regions. Among them is the large Mikhailov family from the Liozno district.

“Our son Roman was the pioneer, who got a job as a mechanic at the Yanovichi agro-complex. He commuted 30 kilometers to work every day. Then my husband, our younger children – 12-year-old Sergey and 9-year-old Artyom – and I followed him. And this is despite the fact that we had our own housing. It is a great joy for us that all our hardships have finally ended, and we have received our own three-room apartment in Yanovichi, where we will settle. There is a school, a kindergarten here, and construction of the official Hanna supermarket has begun opposite the house. What else do we need?” shared laboratory assistant Svetlana. “Our eldest daughter and her family work at the Poludetki farm in the Vitebsk region.”

A residential building is a great joy for all workers of the agro-industrial complex, emphasized the General Director of the poultry farm, Anna Norkus. Those who make a special contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex received the keys to their apartments. One-third of the apartments in the building will remain in reserve for promising staff. Anna Vasilyevna noted that they are solving issues comprehensively: creating favorable working conditions, paying decent wages, and providing housing for staff. All that remains is to work for the glory and prosperity of the team.

Congratulating the new residents on this significant event in their lives, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, emphasized that Yanovichi is considered a periphery when traveling from Vitebsk, but life is bustling here. Recently, the appearance of the village has changed, milk-and-commodity and grain-drying complexes have been erected, and the machine-and-tractor fleet has been reconstructed. Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm consistently opens new production and social facilities, which once again emphasizes that it is possible and necessary to live in the periphery. Especially since the poultry farm's management has huge plans to create a 21st-century agricultural production, which involves mechanization, computerization, powerful machinery, and high-class equipment. Nikolai Nikolaevich cited a figure: in the Vitebsk region over the last 10 years, the number of able-bodied people in rural areas has decreased by 45 thousand people, which is as many as there are now. These figures make one think about how to attract young people to rural areas. Housing is one of the incentives, emphasized the head of the region.
