A family from Beshenkovichi district will compete for the title of 'Master of the Village' in the national final

The Adamovich family from Beshenkovichi district will represent Vitebsk region at the republican stage of the prestigious family agricultural project "Master of the Village - 2016".

Little Vanya could barely contain his emotions as his parents led the bull calf named Vlastelin to the bus. The competitive battles, which had lasted for several hours, were now behind them; the main thing now was to get this valuable gift home.

The Adamovich family came to the village of Alashki, Sharkovshchyna district, to participate in the regional stage of the "Master of the Village - 2016" project. In four out of eight rounds, Sergey, Yulia, and their children Daria and Ivan took first place, and additionally, they were among the prize-winners twice.

— We are villagers, which means we know how to mow grass, sort potatoes, and harness a horse, — notes Sergey. — We participated in the competition for the first time and are glad that everything worked out.

Sergey works as an electrician at ZAO "ASB-Agro Novator", and in the summer, he operates a grain dryer. His wife, calling him a master of welding, shows photos of his original works: a cultivator, a hose reel, a barbecue grill, a vibrating table for making paving slabs, a child seat for a bicycle, and much more. Another hobby is machinery. An old, broken tractor is now operational thanks to Sergey's efforts.

In response to the praise, the husband notes that Yulia, who is a history teacher by profession, is the best at cooking, knitting, and creating floral arrangements. Family harmony is her achievement. The "Master of the Village" project, which originated in Glubokoe district, has transformed into a large-scale competition. According to approximate estimates, over the years of its existence, several hundred families have participated in it in the Sharkovshchyna district alone, including competitions within work collectives.

— "Master of the Village" is a great opportunity to encourage young families who have achieved high results in improving their homes and managing their household plots, — says Viktor Glushin, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the NGO "BRSM".

Thus, the judges and spectators were captivated by the wit, skill, and love for their native land shown by a large family from the Sharkovshchyna district, who took 2nd place. Ivan and Diana Molokov live in the agro-town of Bildyugi. The husband works as a machine operator, and the wife is on maternity leave. Their children are Nikita, Sofia, and the twins Anya and Nastya.

The head of the family is fond of welding, and his wife enjoys embroidery. They have a large personal subsidiary farm, with a garden and a vegetable patch. In addition, the Molokovs dream of having their own apiary to always have fragrant honey on their table.

Another competition, which has never been part of the program before, was the scythe mowing competition. Valery Skrago finished first, just a minute ahead of the others. However, due to minor flaws, he had to give up the lead, and the Adamovich family won.
