Sergey Chepik appointed Chairman of the Postavy District Executive Committee
The personnel appointment is symbolic in that the head of the district became the son of a man who dedicated 13 years (from 1987 to 2000) to working in the Postavy region. Vasily Vasilyevich Chepik was the first secretary of the district party committee, chairman of the district council of deputies, and from 1994 to January 30, 2000 (the day of his tragic death in a car accident), he was the chairman of the district executive committee and did a great deal for the development of the region.
There is no doubt that the son will worthily take over the baton passed to him. This was stated by both the chairman of the regional executive committee Nikolay Sherstnev and the deputies of the district council. They also thanked Viktor Gutorov for his work, who submitted his resignation from the post of chairman of the Postavy district executive committee due to his election as chairman of the regional committee of the trade union of workers of the agro-industrial complex.
The head of the region, introducing the new chairman of the district executive committee, emphasized that the Postavy district has never been weak, that there is a good staff here, but much remains to be done. The main task is to replenish the budget with own funds, and for this, it is necessary to double the production of goods and significantly reduce costs. The priority should be given to the development of the agricultural sector and the creation of integration structures. The development of small and medium-sized businesses is also promising. The tasks are outlined, and a team of like-minded people is available. Consequently, there will be results!
