Sergey Egorov has been approved for the position of Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee

Сергей Егоров утвержден в должности председателя Витебского райисполкома
Sergey Egorov has been approved as the Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee at the extraordinary 60th session of the Vitebsk District Council of Deputies of the 28th convocation. The President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, gave his consent to the appointment to the aforementioned position. Previously, Sergey Egorov served as the Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, took part in the session.

The Head of the Main Department of Organizational and Personnel Work of the Regional Executive Committee, Vladimir Davydovsky, noted that Gennady Sabynich, who previously served as Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, honorably coped with the task assigned to him. In particular, during his tenure, the Vitebsk region firmly established itself among the leaders of the region's districts. In recent years, it has been transformed, with major enterprises such as Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, BelVitunipharm, and MazolovoGaz significantly strengthening their positions, which has helped to solve the problem of population employment and achieve high economic indicators. Housing is being actively built in agro-towns, new social facilities and production sites are emerging, existing capacities are being modernized, and a number of investment projects are being implemented. For example, in recent years, the construction of a feed mill, a beef slaughter and processing shop, and a poultry slaughter and processing shop at the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, the construction of the Vitebsk HPP, a waste sorting plant, the installation of a production line for baby food at BelFood Production LLC, and the modernization of hosiery production at the Vasilina factory have been completed. Targeted work is being carried out to improve the efficiency of the housing and communal services sector: 21 iron removal stations have been commissioned, and modernization work has been carried out on nine artesian wells, which has made it possible to provide the population with centralized water supply systems at a level of 98%. All these successes would have been impossible without the coordinated work of a team of professionals, heads of enterprises and organizations in the region. Much has been done for the residents of the district; at the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the fulfillment of the main indicators of socio-economic development and the improvement of the situation in the organizations of the region's agro-industrial complex. As the Head of State emphasized when approving the appointment of Sergey Egorov, the new leader faces a difficult task – to bring the Vitebsk region to the level of the country's leaders. The nearest benchmark to strive for is the Orsha region.

As noted, while working in leadership positions, Sergey Egorov has proven himself to be a principled, proactive leader with strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and deep knowledge of agricultural production. He possesses modern management methods, sees the prospects and ways to achieve set goals. During his tenure as Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, under his leadership, the structure of sown areas of agricultural crops in the Vitebsk region was optimized, which led to an increase in the efficiency of the crop production sector. Positive dynamics are observed in pig farming, the average milk yield per cow is increasing, the material and technical base of the region's agro-industrial complex, the fleet of agricultural machinery, and the construction and reconstruction of farms with a transition to modern livestock housing methods are continuing to be updated. It is important that he has a good understanding of the specifics of the Vitebsk region's development and possesses practical skills in working within state bodies and the real sector of the economy.

During an open vote, the deputies unanimously approved Sergey Egorov for the position of Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee. Alexander Subbotin wished the new leader success, emphasizing that there is still much work to be done, and presented him with his official ID.

– The Vitebsk region is quite complex. The task is not to focus on a single village; it is necessary to synchronize all enterprises to create competition and bring the region to the forefront not only in the region but also in the republic, – noted the head of the region.

Sergey Egorov was born in 1978 in Liozno. He graduated from the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
